I’m not old enough to know the 1969 jean but, in my life I can attest that I’ve probably spent a total of $200 on every pair of jeans I ever (or still) own which consist of both men and female jeans, ironically the revamped in this new Gap Jean collection. With The Gap’s relaunching of the jean line, each style showcases fashion growing pains that matured since The Gap bubble in the late 90’s.
Now those quiry commericials where marketing genius but, it was more the cuts that led me to the Gap’s jean department. While people were wearing, Tommy Jeans and American Eagle jeans. A & F were always too short on my legs so, it was hard for me to really enjoy jeans until I revisited The Gap’s adornment for tall / high inseam jeans for semi tall people. I had a freakish growth spurt that made me uneasy about investing in jeans that were going to be given away within a year. Not sure about you all but, jeans to me is an investment. And due to that, they should be a verstaile as the life you lead. For me, Imma randomly roll down a hill of grass, type of girl that hopes they’re still be intact to wear after a wash.
Fall of course is my favorite season because its one of the only time I feel jeans are never questioned. And with tailored fit jeans, they look even more acceptable, esp for guys.
In the end, the fact that I still have most of these jeans for which I acquired over the past 12 years. If your wondering, Real Straight jean would be something I’d invest in, male or female simply because skinnyness of the skinny jeans now days, (MALE or female) is just getting gross. There I said it.
